1. About this policy
Mindwork Studio is operated by Selvan Studio LLC (“Selvan Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Mindwork Studio is an app for creating, organizing, and listening to guided meditations and visualizations. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use the app, visit its website, or contact us.
2. Information we collect and use
We collect your email address, account and sign-in information, the prompts and content you provide, generated audio, listening history, and subscription and generation-usage records to operate the app and sync your work. Because Mindwork Studio is designed around your own circumstances, your content may include health, mental-health, or other sensitive personal information. You decide what details to include.
We also process support correspondence and limited usage, device, and diagnostic information to respond to you, understand app use, prevent misuse, and maintain reliability. App analytics may be linked to your account but exclude your prompts, script text, and audio.
3. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you when you create an account, provide content, use app features, or contact us. We collect limited technical and usage information automatically from the app and your device. We also receive transaction and sign-in information from Apple when you use Sign in with Apple or make a subscription purchase.
4. Service providers and AI
We use service providers for hosting and account services (Supabase), AI writing and safety checks (OpenAI), narration (OpenAI or ElevenLabs), background processing (Trigger.dev), and app analytics (PostHog). Apple provides sign-in and subscription services. Providers receive information relevant to these functions: AI writing uses your prompts and relevant script context; narration uses spoken script text and, for ElevenLabs voices, nearby passages. AI narration uses generated voices. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
We require service providers to handle personal information only for authorized purposes and to provide protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.
5. Your AI choice
We ask for your agreement before sending content for AI processing. You can create an account without agreeing, but AI creation and starting a subscription require agreement. You can withdraw it in Settings. Withdrawal stops future AI requests; it does not recall content already sent or cancel Apple billing. Manual editing, ordinary saving, and access to existing audio remain available.
6. Sale and advertising
We do not sell personal information, use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or share it with data brokers or advertising networks. Product analytics help us understand and improve Mindwork Studio; they are not used to serve targeted advertising.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, and address support or security matters. Saved scripts and audio, including reusable speech recordings, remain associated with your library until you delete the script or account. You can delete scripts in the app and request account deletion in Settings. Backups and provider-held copies may follow separate retention schedules; limited records may also be retained where needed for legal, security, or deletion-request handling. Deletion is not necessarily immediate across every system. Account deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription.
8. Your privacy requests
To request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to raise a privacy concern, email hello@selvan.studio. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and will respond as required by applicable law. You can also edit your scripts and export completed audio in the app. Available rights and exceptions depend on where you live.
9. Security and international processing
We use access controls and other safeguards to protect personal information, but no system can guarantee complete security. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws differ from those where you live.
10. Website and newsletter
The Selvan Studio website uses Vercel hosting and analytics. An optional studio newsletter uses Buttondown; support email uses Google Workspace. Newsletter signup is separate from an app account, and you can unsubscribe using the link in each newsletter.
11. Age and policy changes
Mindwork Studio is intended for people aged 16 and older. Contact us if you believe someone younger has provided personal information. We may update this policy and will show the effective date of changes and provide additional notice when required.
